Under the supervision of the team leader or foreman, the drywall finisher is responsible for completing the finishing of drywall surfaces by applying joint compounds, taping, coating, sanding, and performing required touch-ups. They ensure a smooth, uniform, and professional finish while respecting all quality and safety standards on commercial, institutional, industrial, and heavy residential construction sites.
Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces and verify the quality of drywall installation

Apply joint compounds (1st, 2nd, and 3rd coat)

Install tape, metal corners, and trims

Perform sanding, touch-ups, and final finishing

Ensure consistency and high-quality finishing

Always follow health and safety regulations on job sites

Work collaboratively with drywall installers and other trades

Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized work environment
Requirements

Valid CCQ competency card – Interior Systems (Drywall Finisher / Plasterer)

Relevant experience in the field (an asset)

Good physical condition
